I have recently bought a Nvidia GTX 650 Ti 1Gb (referbished) I installed it and updated the latest drivers as you do... But when I go onto games for example World of Warcraft after approximately 3 minutes the screen goes multicolored like and I get a message saying the display has stopped working, not only that, during game play my GPU makes a horrible noise. When I am not gaming everything is fine and makes no noise, I don't understand?

Everything is plugged in correctly, I don't understand what's going on...

Here are my PC specs:

Windows 8
1 TB HDD
AMD A8-6600K APU 3.9GHz
8 GB RAM

Hello Thelps,

Thank you for responding to my post and I am sorry for the delay of my response.

I downloaded that software and ran it while running the game I saw it heat up to 40°C but when I went back onto the game it immediately crashed and rebooted my system (which it hasn't done before). When it rebooted I decided to run that program before starting the game but as I did the GPU crashed again without being on the game.

I have just taken the GPU out of my PC to avoid any other problems...

Do you know what this problem could be?

P.S. When running World of Warcraft it gets 98fps on ultra, no lag what so ever...

I ran a stress test and it crashed at 41°c and it isn't my power supply as it requires 450W and I have 500W...

Ensure the PCI-E x16 slot is free from dust and debris and that the Graphics Card is firmly seated in the slot (not at a slight angle).

Ensure no wires are obstructing the GPU Cooler's fan blades. It may be worthwhile to clean the card if it has accumulated any dust.

Try pressing down firmly on the central column of the GPU Cooler's fan(s). This could help reduce the noise as it appears the central column is allowing the fan blades to vibrate, generating the noise.

Make sure your current drivers are non-Beta drivers.

If the problem persists beyond this point consider RMAing the card if it's still under warranty.

I'll let you know if any further ideas pop into my head.
