I did a recent small overclock on my i7-2600k up to 4.0Ghz. Before I move up to a faster speed, I want to ask a few questions. In the BIOS, I disabled EIST, C1E and C3/C6 as well as turbo mode. Now when I check my CPU in CPUZ, my processor runs at 4.0 Ghz all the time. It used to downclock it's self during idle usage to about 1.6Ghz. Is this to do with turbo mode?
