Should I sent it back to newegg and get a replacement? or do you think it's just an issue with BF4 and all Asus R9 280's and just live with it? I don't see it often.

Unfortunately, my fellow gamer, many complaints have been filed about the ASUS R( 280x and it's artifacting in many games. Namely, BattleField 4. This card is a very good card, and it should not be having these problems, but the truth is that it will only get worse over time. My reccomendation would be to double-check by re-downloading the latest drivers. Once you've done that, and the problem persists, be sure to remove any overclock you may have and reset to stock settings in Catalyst Control Center. Check your power supply, and see if it is compatible with your GPU. If all else fails, I say send it back before it's too late, and exchange it for a shiny new Sapphire 280X while you can. Hope this helped! Happy gaming!

It's not the 280x it's the regular 280. Tried new drivers beta and regular, same thing. Newegg will not take it back or exchange it for a different card because I cut the UPC out for the rebate. Wasn't expecting to return it within 30 days. I didn't overclock it myself would there be any overclock from stock drivers? I rarely see the flickering, I have to look for it I may just have to live with it, unless I see it in other games, so far I have not. Either that or ebay it.

It won't necessarily get worse, but it almost definitely will decrease the life of the GPU by at least a little. If the artifacting only exists in one game, then it may just be the programming, or the way it reacts to your hardware. As for overclocks, check Catalyst Control Center > Performance > AMD OverDrive and make sure the "Enable Graphics Overdrive" checkbox is unchecked. If the problem only persists in one game, then I wouldn't worry too much, but artifacting is never a good thing. it can either mean a bad overclock, a bad GPU, or a GPU not recieving enough power. I will do some more research but, until then, let me know if you find out anything new. Hope I helped!

It's the game! all that worrying over nothing, lol. No other game did it. So I decided to put my replacement 7950 in to see if that card did it, the refurb Sapphire sent me to replace my bad 7950. Soon as I start playing battlefield 4 I seen a little piece of paper flickering. lol. I am just going to have to live with a little bit of flickering once in a while in the game, or buy the PS4 version. LAME on Dice's part!!

Great! That's just about the least severe problem you could have! That means that absolutely nothing is wrong with your GPU, or your PC in any way. Congrats on figuring out the cause. Happy gaming!
