My case has a fan with a 4 pin molex plug, with two pins in it. (4 spaces, with pins in two). My motherboard, however, has two connectors - one is 3 pin, one is 4 pin, can I use the fan in those connectors in any way? Or is there another way I can without buying adapters or new fans?

Why not just use a molex cable from the PSU ?

Does your PSU have molex connectors? The accessory fan that you're talking about needs to be powered by the PSU, not your motherboard.

Use your molex connectors on your PSU as they said previous. However, if your fan is a PWM model then you should have a 3/4 pin as well as the molex. Then you would use the molex from the PSU and then the 3/4 pin to connect to a Mobo header.
