Hi, so I want to buy a new mobo and cpu and I've already chosed them but I'd like to know if I'll have any issues with the bios or I need to update it or something like that because I have no idea about bios and things like that , I can only install components :D, and I would also like to know if all my current components are comatible with the mobo and cpu I want to buy ( because pcpartpicker doesn't have all the components ), and is it sure that my PSU is powerful enough to run the new CPU and MOBO too.

My current specs:
PSU: Corsair GS600 (600W)
MOBO: Biostar NF520D3 AM3
GPU: MSI GTX 660 2GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0GHZ
RAM: Transcend 2x2 GB 1333 MHz
Storage: 1TB Seagate Barracuda Green SATA 2
DVD Reader: DVD-RW SATA Dual Layer

MOBO I want to buy: AsRock H97 Killer
CPU I want to buy: Intel Core i5 4690

Solution
Yeah those should work together. You may have to update your bios but thats easy to do and you should do that anyways. (you always want the newest drivers/bios) Also, your psu is defiantly enough to run all your parts.

A motherboard will come with the latest bios available at time of manufacture.
Sometimes minor updates become available to fix issues or to support newly released cpu's.

I have no doubt that your cpu is supported, but go to the asrock web site and double check on which cpu's are supported and when the supporting bios was released.

Regardless DO NOT update your bios unless you absolutely have to.
A failed bios update can brick your motherboard.

PSU requirements are determined by your graphics card; since that is not changing, you are good.
If anything, intel chips are more power efficient anyway.
