USB 2.0 port won't work

All my USB 2.0 ports suddenly stopped working, a wired USB mouse light comes up but pointer doesn't move, although the mouse works fine in PS/2 port (with an adapter). Tried to recover the system in the safe mode to a previous date, managed to but it did not help. Tried uninstalling devices in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus controllers tab (all of them), did not help either. There are no devices under Universal Serial Bus tab with exclamation point when i connect a usb device (mouse and/or flash drive), actually nothing really happens at all.

I installed all latest Windows updates. Any help would be much appreciated.

PC specifications:
OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64
MB Asus P5W64 WS Pro
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Graphics Radeon X1600
Memory OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400(400MHz)
PSU Antec 450 watt
Hard Drive SSD Crusial M550 250 GB

I thought about it, but haven't tried. The problem is that i haven't been able to find ANY usb drivers on ASUS website for this motherboard (also, the latest OS they have drivers for is Vista), and unfortunately i can't find CD with all the drivers for this relatively old MB. Is it possible that Windows would find the drivers automatically if I uninstalled them?

Thank you for your help.

Vista x64 Chipset driers from Asus website won't install cause my "computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software". I downloaded and installed chipset drivers from Intel website (seems like version 9.1.2.1008), but nothing changed, mouse lights up but pointer does not move, no reaction whatsoever when usb flash drive is plugged in.

Update:
Also, USB printer works fine unless I unplug it and plug it back in, and if reboot after that it works fine again. Actually, if I plug in a usb flash drive and reboot, PC recognizes it and it works fine. If I unplug the usb flash drive and plug it back in without rebooting PC does not see it at all. USB mouse lights up but pointer does not move neither before nor after reload.

Wanted to uninstall usb drivers, but aren't sure how to do it (couldn't find anything in Program Uninstall related to usb drivers)...

Would there be any other suggestions?
