Im gonna upgrade my CPU, motherboard, add ram and a hardrive. Im gonna be using this for gaming and mostly music production. Alot of different softwares that I need to use at one time.



My computer spec:

motherboard
asus p8h61- mle csm

power supply
thermaltake smart power 650w

ram
corsair xms3 4gb (2x)

cpu
intel core i3 3220

video card
evga gtx 760

Hardrives
- 3 different HD

Thermaltake V3 Black Edition VL80001W2Z Black SECC / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.



What I want to buy:

Which one would be better for multitasking?.

Ram: Either buy an 8gb or 2 4gb. I want to replace it all with 8gb in the future. So does it make sense to have an 8+4+4 for now or just go with 4x4?

If you plan to overclock go for the 4690k, its only a $5 bucks difference so i'd go for that one, if you dont, you can get a xeon cpu that will perform just like a locked i7 but without igpu:

If you plan to use the xeon you'll not need a z series mobo, go for a cheaper h series mobo, the xeon will perform better with a lot of programs running at the same time.

For the memory get 2x4 G, or 2x8 GB if you plan to use 16GB, ram is quite cheap nowadays.

I just realized the K was for overclocking. I dont plan on doing that.

How about this:

with this motherboard?

If this is compatible. Will it fit in my case?. My current mobo is micro atx as well but has an inch difference on the size.

Do I need to buy a new case for the USB 3 slots?.
