HI, I just got my R9 290X from PowerColor (PCS+) And on ever game it appears to run fine, With high fps, But on minecraft it rarely goes over 60fps. I have a Intel COre i5-4590 and the game is installed on my samsung ssd.
When playing crysis 3 i get a core clock maximum of 908mhz, at around 60 Degrees at around 30-45 fps.
Is my card a bad chip?

Your PSU has enough wattage for two r9 290Xes so that's fine.

Have you reinstalled or updated the graphics drivers?

The 290x should get 60+FPS in Crysis. Something is wrong, have you downloaded all the latest drivers for your system?

I think so, I downloaded Catalyst 14.4, I thought that was the only real driver i needed for gaming.

Also it says i have a "R9 200 Series Card" Rather than 290X, Is this typical?

Will having the card slightly out of the PCI port reduce performance?

It is at a very, very minute angle meaning the side closest to the front of the case isnt %100 in the slot, but still almost there. I have the NZXT H440 and the MSI Z87-G45 Motherboard, the back inputs and outputs on the board arent touching the io panel by like half a cm, But i assumen it wasnt a big problem and that it wasnt fixable as all the screws were in so even if i took it out it would surely go back in the same position. Also my Tp-Link Wireless card is also at a more noticable angle, But it works fine as far as i can tell.

The ports should be pretty flush up against the i/o. Are you sure you installed it properly? Can you post photo's?

I just dropped the motherboard onto the case (not literally) and then just put in screws into where the hole where that where marked on the motherboard manual, Minus one because the case already had it.
