I would like to make my desktop tidy. I do not like hiding/showing my icons in the menu. Is there an alternate place to put all of these files and shortcuts where they are not in my way but also not too difficult to find.

Thanks.

I like a tidy desktop as well, so I keep a folder or two on the desktop and give each a nice icon so they can kind of fit with the theme of my desktop. Then arrange them on the desktop so they blend in with the image onscreen. It can look really good if done right ;) Try a Google search for icon websites and you'll find all kinds of fun stuff. You can also look up icon software for editing or making your own. Just have fun with it.

And no, it doesn't change the shortcuts in any way at all when you put them in a folder, they still work the same. Get creative and good luck!
