Alright, maybe I lied. My pc isn't that old, but I'd still like help. I know Christmas is still about 4 months away but I enjoy planning ahead. I'll paste my specs below.

CPU- AMD Phenom II x6 1090T
GPU- GTX 760 4gb
MB- Foxconn 2a92

As of now, I want to get a new CPU, GPU, and MB. I have about $1000. I was thinking of getting a single 780, but realized that instead of that I can buy another 760 for sli for a much lower price. I would prefer to stick to AMD processors, but it doesn't entirely matter. This motherboard has to go though, I'll also be picking up another PSU. A water cooler for the CPU is also in the question.
I have three hard drives that I will be switching over, as well as my 12 gb of RAM and the case.

Solution
Sorry, I disagree with almost all.

sli GTX760 will win you some benchmarks, but dual cards have their issues such as stuttering and screen tearing.
Much simpler to buy a good single card. By Christmas, the GTX8xx Maxwell cards will be out.
Unless you will be gaming on triple monitors or a 4k monitor, you don't need sli.

Your X6 is poor for gaming. The cores are not very fast, and few games make use of more than 2-3 cores.
At your performance level an intel quad is the best way to go for gaming.
The FX-9370 is simply an overclocked FX-8350 and nowhere near the capability in gaming to a similarly priced i5-4690K

A 4690K with a simple air cooler will be much stronger. No need to spend big bucks for a noisy liquid cooler just to get...
I would move up the AMD cpu charts and get something like this; You idea to buy another 760 makes sense.
You will still have budget to purchase your 2nd GPU to run SLI

AMD FX-9370 Vishera 8-Core 4.4GHz Socket AM3+ 220W $220

It would be better to upgrade to a i7-4790K that runs 4.0/4.4 at stock.

I would buy a SSD for the "C" drive. It makes everything you do so much quicker. 120gb minimum, 240gb is better.

On the psu, 650w will run any single gpu out there, including a GTX780ti.
Buy only a quality unit.
