Hi, there are some products on Amazon that I wish to purchase. Some of them, like the Samsung 840 EVO, indicate a 12-month warranty even though the manufacturer's website shows, for example, 3 years. How does that work?

Also, if I am entitled to the manufacturer's warranty such as Samsung's 3 years, is the warranty provided to me by the Amazon seller or do I need to do something to get it?

Thanks

Yeah, amazon offer their own warranty for expensive electronic goods, so you don't need to get the amazon warranty, you'll just end up with 2 warranties :')

Thanks for the response.

I actually meant to ask whether I need to do something to get the manufacturers warranty? Does "end up with two warranties" mean that the Amazon seller will send me the Samsung warranty too?

No, amazon will replace it for you if you get their warranty also, I don't know, you may have to register your product or something
