I have just finished building a new AMD setup, but it will not start POST at all
It is a
FX 6300
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0
used GTX 660
COOLERMASTER G550W PSU
8GB hyperx 1866
I breadboarded the state before installing it in the case, and it seemed to POST fine (I had no monitor at the time). I was careful to keep ESD minimal and installed all the standoffs. After putting all the components into the case however, the system would not POST. every case fan and the CPU fan would spin for half a second, and the CPU OK led blinked. Then the PC went dead, and it would not attempt POST again until I manually took out the PSU cord. I then removed every component except for the CPU, but the problem was still there. I flashed the bios, I made sure every cable was right, and the boot was the same every time.
How can I tell if this is a motherboard, CPU, PSU or GPU problem, and what might have caused it? Should I just return the parts for replacements or is there a way to fix this? I've tried every option I can think of now
