I usually dont recommend people to gigabyte just because i have heard a lot of bad things about thier mobos/gpu like the gpu cooler doesnt cool well or only as good as a 2 slot cooler. The mobos dont really overclock well and are cheap. I want to know are they good.

More about : gigabyte good

Yeah Gigabyte is a good brand to go with I normally run Asus brand but Gigabyte is my second choice. I would use their products with no worries.

Raid depending on which you chose to do can give you an exact mirror image of one drive onto another so if one fails you still have all data. Another option is striping and it writes data blocks alternately to two dtives for example and gets you a speed performance which isn't needed so much with SSDs. I did it with old HDDs back in the day for performance and you can also do both mirror and stripe along iwth other things but those are the main ones.

oh thanks for explaining yeah ssd really dont need a speed boost. so gigabyte is like second choice for both of you right. Also may i ask what the audio line does on mobos. like the line by the audio chip that lights up and all that.

Yeah gigabyte is a good choice and the audio one you are referring to I am guessing is the optical audio out port. Used for hooking up to some mixers, preamp, or home theater units and is transmitted via light.

Ah it's their audio chipset with creative labs cinema 2 I believe it was that they use and put a light on it to make it look fancy and special.

That one from what little I've read about it is ok but Asus higher end boards have better audio chipset on them but no fancy light on it.
