Hi Everyone,
So I recently built my first PC and all has gone well its just that recently my Power Supply which is an EVGA 600B has started to make a buzzing sound. It doesn't seem to have any adverse effects its just quite annoying and kind of worries me that theres something wrong with my Power Supply. Now it doesn't happen all the time as I can go for long periods of time without hearing it, and it almost always goes away after a certain period of time, and it sometimes its just a light buzzing other times its a more audible buzzing. Do I have anything to worry about? Should I just RMA it?

I really don't how to explain other than a light staticky buzzing sound and I have checked and all cables are plugged in fine. I've tried googling the problem and I've heard some say people that certain noise is harmless kind of like coil whine but I'm not sure if that applies to the buzzing I hear.

CPU: Intel Core I5 4570 with stock cooler
GPU: EVGA SuperClocked 780 with ACX Cooling
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87 HD3
SSD: Samsung Evo 840 120GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Case: Rosewill Challenger U3
And I'm pretty sure its from the PSU but it could be from the GPU since its really close to where the PSU is. Could the buzzing be cause by dust in a GPU fan or something like that?

Yeah man thanks, that's pretty much the exact same noise i hear sometimes. So should I RMA it since the guy in the video said he RMA'd his PSU.

Any PSU that buzzes or make any noise aside from the fan itself should be replaced. If it's still under warranty then you should by all means return it. There is no excuse for a buzzing PSU except the PSU unless something is connected improperly or a cable isn't securely attached.
