I am very frustrated with my router right now. I've doubled by internet speed with my ISP and yet I still get very slow response wirelessly. Is there something I have not set correctly on my Wireless Router?

Solution
You router does not just control all your Internet speeds, there are many aspects as follows:

ISP: All data goes through your Internet Service Provider, and they regulate both your download and upload speeds, usually indicated in units of megabits

Modem: The modem retrieves information from servers on the Internet and has a specific speeds. You want it to be faster than what your ISP provides, or at least the exact same.

Router: Your router connects to your modem and its speeds also matter, as data passes through the modem, to the router and your local home network, and to the specific computer that granted the Internet request in the first place. A slow router won't help at all.

Network/Wireless Adapter: Whatever device you are on, it has a network/wireless adapter that is used to connect usually wirelessly to the router. This can only regulate a certain speed, and is usually the downfall on why Internet is the same speeds still. Distance from the router also plays a big role.

I recommend http://speedtest.net and running it and showing me the results. Also, what speeds does your ISP give you? And lastly, find an ethernet cable in your house and connect wired to the router, and then do the speed test again and tell me the results.
