Hi,

I've recently built a new PC but reused the power supply, a Corsair TX650 v1 from 2008, to save a few bucks.
Problem is, when playing any games above 100 fps or so, i start hearing that annoying, high pitched coil whine which is clearly coming from the PSU as it used to make the same noise on my old PC but now it's much louder and higher pitched than before. I'm assuming it has gotten worse because i can get more fps on the newer PC and therefore more whine?
Anyways, would you guys recommend me to replace the PSU, given this "problem" and the fact that it is 6 years old?

PS: My PC specs, to determine new PSU wattage, if needed:

Intel Xeon e3-1231 3.4ghz
Asus h97-pro
8gb ddr3 1600
gtx 750 ti overclocked

Thanks!!

The Corsair TX650 V1 isn't made by Seasonic like the V2. I have the Antec HCG 620m, EVGA 750 B2, XFX core 750 and the XFX TS 550. The EVGA 750 B2 is made by SuperFlower, rest of them is made by Seasonic.
