[strike][/strike]Sorry first post in here looks I put my entire post in a title bar!

Ok the problem I have is as follows

Just built a new pc with the following specs,
i7 4790k devils canyon
Z97 pro motherboard
Ax 860 platinum psu
Windforce gtx 670 4gb graphics card
2 x 256 gb ssd's
2 x 2tb hard drives
Windows 8.1

The problem I have is when the graphics card is plugged in I get a black screen, doesn't matter if I plug the monitor into the mb or the graphics card the screen is black, when the card is removed I get visuals.
One of the issues is I can't install the nvida drivers unless the card is plugged in, it's driving me potty

I've seen this before with the Gigabyte 650 Ti. Firat make sure the fans on the card are spinning. If they are, what I did was plug the card into a different pcie slot. There's probably more than one pcie slot on your mb, so plug the card into the slot below the top one (it will be the revision 3.0 x16 slot). I got video and installed the drivers. Once the drivers were onboard, I plugged it into the top pcie slot. No, you can't install drivers for hardware that isn't there 8)

I have found the problem, I originally had the card plugged in with the corsair PCI power cable both 8 pin and 6 pin, however I tried the power cables supplied with the card and it did the trick

Glad you figured it out and it was something simple!
