You would need to provide specific information about your CPU so we can know the socket.

If you have a BGA socket cpu, then you cannot.

If you have a PGA socket cpu, then you can.

The ASUS K52F was offered in both variations.

You'd have to get a 1st gen i-series though, which aren't that great. (i5-4xx (3 digits only, no 4 digits)
But in theory yes you can.
