Im pretty sure it wont need a bios update since its not a devils canyon cpu, other users correct me if im wrong. But that is not a good board to OC on.
I know the Gigabyte B85M-DS3H can run the G3258 even on old BIOS' without issue, maybe go for that board? It can also OC it very nicely.
And Yingda, don't be rude. He came to the right place. It's hard to find info about this, even on their website.
I like the motherboard you have chosen, with NewEgg's rebate I'm pretty sure I'll be getting this motherboard instead. Thanks for everyone who helped me you guys are awesome!

It is impossible to answer his question unless you know the current bios version, an information which cannot be obtain unless u bought the board/called asus support. All answers without this info will be estimations, not garanted.
Ps: I am not trying to be rude. Just want people to do their homework before asking a question. Better to teach a man how to fish then to give him a fish.
If he said that he does not have the board, thus not knowing the bios version and has already checked the asus site with no luck, Then I would happily tell him the the cpu will word sufficiently for a bios update. No need to worry
He can't be expected to know how to do everything. That's a reason why we're here.
Please be as nice as you possibly can be.
He's chosen a board that will work regardless of BIOS version anyway.
I bought & fitted the G3258 on an Asus H81M-Plus and can confirm that without a m/b bios update, that it does not work. Had to purchase an I3-4130 processor first, because the original bios supports that, and then update to the latest bios, to try out the G3258.
