Hey, i have just purchased the I7 4790k to my Asus Z97 pro wi fi, and was wondering, what is the normal temp on the cpu whit a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cooler.?

Now my Idle temp is 25 degrees and max load temp is around 60 degrees.

Was hopping for a lower temp at max load. :(

Those are great temps for an i7 4790K,you shouldn't worry about them. ;)
My AMD Phenom II X6 1055t reaches 55C when gaming with a Hyper 212 EVO.

Yes those temps are perfectly fine. A liquid cooler may help a bit with the top end temperature, but they are still excellent temps.

In my experience, air coolers give you better idle temps whereas liquid gives you a better top end temperature due to their nature. I am definitely NOT recommending to swap it out though!

Those temps are good - What program did you use for the stress test?

Did you get an L3 or L4 batch??
