hello.
am having a problem with my trascend external disk. it is not isntalled successfully on my pc, but on disk management it is shown but stated un allocated.

am using acer minilaptop, window 7 ultimate
external drive is 1TB transcend device

Is there stuff on this drive already or is this brand new?

If its new rt click on in in disk management and initialize it.

You may still need to create a simple volume on the drive and format the drive before you are able to use it.
