Hi again!
As some of you may have realized from my more recent posts, I have been taking a sanity check on my thoughts of adding a second Radeon R9 290X video card to my machine. I wanted the second card to have better cooling than my current does, so I have decided to possibly go with a SAPPHIRE Vapor-X R9 290X TRI-X OC for a little extra money. I realize that this card has a factory overclock on both the memory and the core, both being considerably higher than the AMD reference clock which my current card is running on.
My question is: Can I CrossFire an aftermarket overclocked card with a reference stck-clocked card, and if so, will both clocks automatically revert to the clock rate of the lowest clocked card?
Thanks in advance for the assistance. I'm really looking forward to venturing into the realm of the graphics enthusiast!
