New psu problem

Hello!

So i bought a corsair vs550w because i wanted to put in a new processor and did not have enough power because my previous psu is a grimtec 450w and yesterday I connected my new psu to my pc but didn't put in the new processor because I didn't have any thermal paste but a weird thing happen i got the "ASUS anti surge detected unstable power supply" error when i loaded up Cs go after like 1 min wich I never got with my previous psu without the new processor :( 

Ideas anyone?

It may be that you have a faulty PSU. Recheck all the plugs to make sure they are in OK.

The VS is not a very good PSU I would recommend an XFX 550w or a similar wattage Seasonic PSU

But they told me here this psu would be more than enough for what I need :/ 

But I probably didn't install it right, I will ask a friend of mine to come to my house and check it!

Yeah, definitely get someone to check it if you're not sure. Its possible sometimes to plug the pcie power cable into the motherboard by accident (its not supposed to be but my brother did it on his PC and when I checked it was possible with mine too)

It does supply enough wattage so they weren't lying but they just didn't mention the quality of the PSU I guess. There are worse choices than that Antec unit but there are loads of bettter ones too :)

I think I plugged that one in but Im going to double check, I even made a new thread to see if anyone could draw
a map in how to install it into a ASUS P8H61-M LK because none of my friends seem to be available atm
