I bought some led strips and they are 12v and i want to know how to connect them to my modular power supply. If anyone can help out, that would be great thank you:)

Also im a beginner to voltage and everything and soldering so explaining would be very helpful.

that video is so ghetto lol. but I don't have any free fan headers. I want to connect via molex connector to my power supply

Get a molex extension cable and chop it, that will give you a safer way to interface with a molex connector from your PSU.

From the amazon pictures it looks like one of the metal pads on the strip is labeled "+12V", you want to solder the yellow wire there. There should be a pad labeled Ground or COM, you'll want to solder the black wire to that, if there are multiple ones labeled COM you can join them all together. As long as your system is on the LEDs will be, if you want a way to control them you could wire a switch in but that makes the wiring task about twice as elaborate.

sorry im a little confused. the metal pads? and yellow wire from what?

Please have a molex connector and the LED strip sitting in front of you......

The yellow wire from a standard molex connector is hooked to 12V, the black wire is hooked to ground

The amazon images for the product show that there are metal pads at each end of each strip that you can solder connections onto

Perhaps you should seek help from a technical friend, its much easier to show how to do these things when its sitting in front of you.

so are you saying I should solder all 4 of the wires to the strip? to the pads?

no I just don't get it. I need to just be told what wire goes where and that's it. which wires I don't need and which ones I do

Hunters directions seem pretty explicit to me. If you're not getting it after reading his directions I'd suggest not doing it. Get somebody who understands the principals involved to do it. Not trying to be a jerk but he's right, you're not fully listening/reading the instructions and you're liable to let some smoke out.
