Which of these motherboards would you choose (considering the future)?

Hello,

my motherboard just died and I need a replacement. The maintenance man is waiting to order it, so I'm kind of in a hurry. Thing is, I plan on upgrading all other parts in about 6 months, so the mobo must be good for whatever technology is going to come out in that time (of which I have no idea, so I thought I'd ask here).

The current processor is AMD Phenom XII and the graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5870, so it must work with those two obviously. The budget is max 200 e, but value for money's the main thing here. These are the options I've been looking at; feel free to suggest other boards, too (or point out flaws in these, if any):

● Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
● Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
● Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
● Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
(● Asus M5A97)

(Sorry for no links, but I'm posting on a tablet and can't figure out how to make them.)

The possibility of running two graphics cards down the line is a consideration, but it's not absolutely crucial. I know the Sabertooth can support up to 4 cards (a little overkill imo), but I'm not sure about the others. All this stuff about phasing etc is Greek to me, so I'd rather let the experts at it. :)

Cheers,

Go for the Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3. It's a 990FX motherboard which is great for overclocking and it supports SLI and CrossFireX. Not only that, it's only £89! You get a lot of features for it's price.

Thank you for the tips; I went with the M5A97 siince I realized that Intel processors are much ahead of AMD in processing power nowadays. This way I can switch to Intel if needed, since it's such a cheap board. Granted that the situation might change in the next 6 months, and value for money is a thing, too; but in case I decide to stick with AMD, this board is good enough imo. The only drawback is that it doesn't support two graphics cards (afaik), but for 80 € it was a bargain so that's a minor issue.
