I bought a new computer in early August. It is a HP DC7800 Convertible Minitower, and had a really bad graphics card. I have now got a Sapphire 7750 HD 2GB and had problems installing it. I had problems with low resolution, no sound and I have since fixed those problems. My Graphics Card is appearing as 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter' and 'AMD ATOMBIOS' and shows up as having 0-16mb of RAM. I can't play Civilization 5, Skyrim or even run Movie Maker. I have the the most recent BIOS, and here are my specs:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad @2.40,
RAM: 4GB,
Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon 7750 HD 2GB,
DirectX 11.

Solution
does your cpu have a built in GPU?
I used to have some problems with my laptop. I had to update my bios and select the "switchable graphics" mode to fixed to it would only use my 'real' gpu

It has actually been solved by my brother, but I chose you because you were helpful.
