I was simply wondering whether having more RAM would help when playing more demanding next gen games at higher resolutions with AA maxed out. I understand this is what vRAM is dedicated for, but would getting a 2GB card and 16GB RAM outweigh a 4GB card with 8GB RAM.
Basically what I'm asking is can memory dedicated to vRAM eat into your RAM in order to prevent CTD's etc.
