New computer won't boot anymore

So about 3 weeks ago I built my new computer. I had some problems initially with booting it as nothing happened when I booted it but my friend came over and looked at it. He noticed I had forgotten to plug in the SATA-cable but that's it and after that it started properly, but even he had no idea how he fixed the problem.

The computer worked perfectly for about for about two weeks after that until I had some boot issues again. Sometimes I would boot my computer and the power button would light up but nothing showed up on the screen, but it was no biggie, I just held down the power button and pressed it again and it booted normally.

But it just got worse and worse and now I can't boot the computer again. Yesterday when I turned on the computer the CPU-fan would start spinning and the computer made the usual noise as it does when you boot it but after about 10 seconds of booting and nothing showing up on the screen it shuts down and then restarts. And it keeps on repeating that until you shut it off completely.

But when I woke up this morning and tried to start it, the power button wouldn't even light up. Nothing happened at all and I hadn't changed a thing since yesterday. So about 10 minutes ago I opened the computer and made sure that no cables were loose, which they weren't from what I could tell but now when I boot it the power button lights up but literally nothing else happens.

I just think it's so weird how the problems are shifting from 1. Powering up and then shutting off
2. Nothing happens at all, and 3. The power button lighting up but nothing else happens. And I've literally made no changes in the computer.

I'm certain that everything's plugged in correctly because how would it otherwise be able to start before, right? Help is much appreciated. Thanks.
