Hi all, i have tried reading the forum but could not find what i need.

I have a WD elements 1 TB hard drive, which connects to a mac , the indicator light blinks steadily, the disk is spinning, but it does not get mounted. I get the message

Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1
at /Volumes/Elements because the following problem occurred:

Aligned I/O enabled.
CBCIO enabled.
Did not find any restart pages in $LogFile and it was not empty.
The file system wasn't safely closed on Windows. Fixing.
WARNING: Could not commit block to storage!
WARNING: [CreateEmptyItemInCache] Failed to create new item in cache (see earlier messages)...
WARNING: Could not commit older page to backing store!
Failed to reset $LogFile: Input/output error
Failed to sync device /dev/rdisk2s1: Input/output error
Failed to mount '/dev/rdisk2s1': Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.

After this message, the light blinking stops and it stays on steady.

I can detect the disk on Data rescue 3 but when i try to deep scan it, it fails with error -4

Any ideas?

Solution
It is possible that the interface board or an internal part of your hard drive is failing. In that case, a data recovery software application might not be the good option to recover your important data. You may try to consult or send your drive to a professional data recovery service company. We have used WeRecoverData and so far have got successful results. Costs of professional recovery service may vary depending on how extent is the failure of your drive.
