Hey guys,
Recently, I been thinking of getting a new computer because the laptop I have now is seven years old. I'm thinking of using the computer to play games like Maplestory and League of Legends. My absolute max budget is $900. Can anyone give me an estimate of how much FPS I would get with this build? Also, if you notice that I can change anything please do so.

CPU Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core $224.99
Motherboard MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 $97.00
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 $141.30
Storage Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 240GB 2.5" SSD $94.99
Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB $144.99
Case Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower $44.00
Power Supply Cooler Master 650W ATX12V
Optical Drive LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer $13.99
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $84.98

Solution
According to this benchmark, you would get much higher than 60FPS (the benchmark was done with an i7 but there won't be too much of a difference between the i7 and the i5 even though Lol is very cpu dependant - the i5 4690k is a monster).

The R9 280 will perform somewhere between a R9 280X and a R9 270

I would recommend you get like 120GB SSD and a 1TB hard drive for your data (files,photos,games...). You should be pretty good with that system, what monitor do you have, resolution you will be playing?

I have the LG 24M35 monitor and will be playing on the highest resolution possible.

I wouldn't get an SSD with this budget. I'd only get an SSD if I had a gtx770/R9 280X or better. For gaming it makes more sense to invest in the better graphics card. SSDs are great for load times, but don't affect FPS at all. I'd rather have higher FPS than faster boot times.

I changed the PSU and case.

CPU Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core $224.99
Motherboard ASRock Z97M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1150 $99.99
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 $141.30
Storage Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM $43.98
Video Card Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 3GB WINDFORCE $199.99
Case NZXT Phantom 240 ATX Mid Tower $62.99
Power Supply Corsair 500W ATX12V $29.99
Optical Drive LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer $13.99
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $84.98
Sound Card Encore ENM232-8VIA $12.48

I'd change that PSU to this one. The CX lineup is an entry level PSU, not designed for high end gaming machines with overclocking in mind.

XFX PRO550W Core Edition $49.99

Also, you won't need a sound card. The motherboard has pretty good sound onboard.

I'd also suggest getting the ATX motherboard I linked above for the same price. Not that the mATX you list won't work, it's just a smaller board with less upgrade options in the future.

With this type of build, how much FPS can I expect in games like League of Legends, Maplestory, Tera?

CPU Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core $224.99
Motherboard ASRock Z97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 $99.99
Memory G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 $141.30
Storage Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM $43.98
Video Card Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 3GB WINDFORCE $199.99
Case NZXT Phantom 240 ATX Mid Tower $62.99
Power Supply XFX 550W ATX12V / EPS12V $49.99
Optical Drive LG GH24NSB0 DVD/CD Writer $13.99
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) $84.98

To be honest, I think the system is overkill for those games. This system listed would play today's most graphically challenging games on high settings. The games you have listed are not that demanding in comparison to say BF4 for example. However it does make you a little more 'future proof'.

Well I have no clue what type of games I will play in the future so keeping that in mind, im getting a good system. Im guessing I will get at least a steady 60 FPS?

R9 280(x or non x) is a very powerful gpu. You will definitely be able to play any game on 1080p resolution for few years, maybe not on ultra in 1-2 years but on medium with stable fps yes and if ever want to go ultra with 60+ fps just put another one in. And for storage instead of 500GB Seagate Barracuda try getting 500GB WD Black, i've been always a WD user and never had any problems, but heard that some Barracuda models started failing after 2-3 months of use.
