Hello this is my second time on this thread and i had this question itching because you guys probably know the answer to this. What graphics card can i be that'll work with a pcie 1.1 and 300 watt psu. Something that gives the most kick for it's dollar. I have an intel core 2 duo 2.5 ghz and some acer mobo which is from 2010 if those specs are helpful in any way. I really just want something i can plug in. Download some drivers and play on. My current gpu is an overclocked 8500 gt which was definately better than my integrated graphics for atleast light gaming. I just wanna be able to play on 1920x1080 on low with some smooth fps of around 90 because some of the games i play like combat arms get laggier in some gamemodes. I usually play games like combat arms, league of legends, maplestory, and bf3 occasionally when bored but currently cant because its really choppy even on the lowest settings.

If you really just want enough of an upgrade to play games on low then why not go with this?

It's $72 dollars and you won't even need a new power supply. You can play LoL on ultra with that and bf3 on medium. Make sure to get the GDDR 5 version instead of the GDDR 3.

Edit: or 5 dollars extra to get the 2 gb version.

Woah thanks for the reply :) that Radeon 7770 benchmark i just looked at was just phenomenal. My only question that still remains now is will a 300 watt psu be sufficient? If it wont i might get a 430 watt from a friend just to borrow. Will that be sufficient?

Guys i really just want a recommendation on what to pop into a 300 watt psu. If im not mistaken the 750 ti and r9 270x cant work on a 300 watt psu and my current specs without bottlenecks. I really dont wanna buy something mid ranged and have it working around the low end area

Im just saying this for future proof, i had the same cpu and got the 750ti (i guess your psu isnt strong enough) but then i upgraded my mobo and cpu and kept the 750ti and now i can play games at 1080p on ultra.

Which would be better? The gt 730 or radeon 7770. I dont wanna get the TI because it's pretty expensive and im thinking about going a little over to get a new psu for the future. Probably a 550 watt 80+ bronze.

Well the radeon is stronger and also more expensive. You would also need a new psu for that. I wouldn't upgrade the psu if you don't even know what kind of build you want in the future. I mean it might help us if you tell us when you're planning to build a new pc and what you think the budget for that one would be like.

Teemi,

I've just ordered the product u recommended (Evga gt730 2gb gddr5) and im just going to make sure. This will DEFINATELY get me good fps on 1920x1080 ultra on league of legends and probably maxed out settings on combat arms because combat arms is an old game right? Also how much of a bottleneck do you think will this card get me on bf3 with the highest playable settings?

Problem cut short though is my cpu is the intel core 2 duo 2.5 ghz Q8500 i believe. Not quite sure but the one he uses in the video is an intel i7 3770k. Do you think my pc could still get just around the same frames? Although i have a more powerful graphics card compared to his 1gb ddr3 my cpu could still be a problem imo
