Yea,the 280X is a good option for a card.Gigabyte and Sapphire are my personal favorites.
Also,650W PSU is recommended. ;)

All three are good and they all have good coolers.
But I would go with the EVGA,since it's the cheapest.
Just because it's the cheapest,doesn't mean it sucks.It's a great card. ;)

If you're looking at the GTX 760, that's actually one of the more expensive ones.
The Gigabyte and MSI OC versions are at $240, and then there's also a nearly identical EVGA card, as well as the Asus DirectCU for $240 after rebate.

Did your budget change? Why are we looking at sub-$300 cards?

The three Rampingshop listed are 280X's, not 760's

GTX 770 falls between 280X and 290, though more closely to 280X. Essentially 280X is cheaper than GTX 770 but does not share the same performance and consumes more power. More over, if you are living in a place where electricity has a modest price, the electricity you would have to cover in 2-3 years from running a 280X will negate any price / performance differences between 280X and GTX 770 and will leave you with the pure loss of performance over price. Cheers.

Just taking a Seasonic 80+ Gold PSU and a GTX 770 will let you slam it into your box , and forget about anything for years. What is the difference between spending 350 and 375 - none in practical sense, but a lot in hardware.

The links I'm checking out are two 280's and an EVGA GTX 760 Superclocked.
