Why wont my 290x drivers install correctly?!?

I've tried using driver sweep.
I've tried 5 different versions 14.2-14.7

Defective card?
Try uninstalling the driver package again and reboot. Then go to Windows Update and have it search for updates. It should find an AMD driver for that card. If so, let it install it. It won't be as up to date as the one from the AMD site, but if it installs and works OK, you can assume the card is OK at least.
