Hello guys! I just bought a new GPU and it only has a DVI and HDMI ports. However my monitor only has VGA port because its an older one. Right now I can't afford buying a new monitor so what would be the best solution - buying a DVI to VGA converter cable or HDMI to VGA one? And how big is the quality loss? I searched around the forum and found mixed opinions. Some were saying it depends on the resolution - my monitor is 18 inch so the default resolution is 1366 x 768. I really hope that the quality would't be drastically different.

Solution
HDMI and DVI-D are digital, VGA is analog, and DVI-I is both. If you have DVI-I, you should get a DVI-I to VGA adapter. Digital>analog conversion is more expensive than analog>analog since you'll need an active converter if you're going from digital to analog or the other way around.
