this happens randomly, but if i would bet i'd say it mostly happens when opening more than one program at once. this is a fresh new PC (CPU, GPU and OS)

FX-8350
windows 8.1
8GB ram
R9 290 4GB
thanks.

ha had that issue when i was young, fried my CPU nolifing GTA III, good ol' times.. though it would be hard to believe that you fried your new high end 8 core FX-8350..very mysterious..

could be issue of too tiny wattage PSU too, or extreemely poor quality PSU.

i got a seasonic 750W 80+ gold plus.
it's good, don't worry about it. also i have a hard time thinking i've fried my CPU 'cause it's temps are below 70 even under load. also it never restarts under load. like, never

ok it just happened again while i was watching a movie online. i highly doubt it overheats.

**UPDATE**

so i continued watching the movie after the restart, happened again. just freezes, the sound keeps going for another second or two and then restarts. anybody? please?

**UPDATE**
and again. i think i'm gonna keep watching on my laptop. if this helps, this happened before i've put the CPU in on the same OS. also, my mother board is GA-880GM-D2H

Do you have the latest Windows update? There have been a lot of reports of crashing to blue screen in the latest update. Does it just restart or does it show up the blue screen with the " :( " face?

guys this is still happening, even on higher frequency now. this time i had a video running in the background while i was playing a video game (my CPU runs cool). i need help with this. the only variable that seem to always be when this happens is the fact that a video is running.
