I was browsing the internet and my computer froze. Upon restarting, I received the BSOD Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area. I get the same message when I try to start up in safe mode. I can not log into windows as the BSOD keeps appearing and restarting my computer. Does anyone know how to fix this and does anyone know how I can access my dump files without logging into windows?

if you installed a hotfix that microsoft pulled because of a bug. And you have a windows font cache file that was corrupted or in the non default location then you will get this bugcheck the first time you reboot after your system update. safe mode will also bugcheck.

you will have to boot on another image of windows (repair disk) and delete the file
c:\windows\system32\fntcache.dat (most common location)
and reboot

some people just reinstall windows. It will also work but is kind of a waste of time.

How do I delete from the command prompt? I can open the file typing the path you wrote but I don't see an option to delete it. I am booting up from computer from the windows 7 installation disc.
