Need advice on changing my thermal paste in a cpu that is water cooled. Should I drain it? Or is fine to just un screw cpu block and clean off the old paste and put a new one? If I do that might it costs a leak?

Actually, You're going to want to use Isopropyl Alcohol to clean it. (99% or 100% if you can find it) Conventional Rubbing alcohol contains ~30% water content.. which you don't want in contact with your motherboard or CPU

The higher the percentage the quicker it evaporates/drys which is helpful while working in your case. When you clean it, don't use rough cloths or Q-tips (as they leave remains behind), Try using a coffee filter over your finger tip to remove and then re-apply the paste, or simply use the Pea method)

You're going to save yourself a headache if you lay it down. I re-applied my paste last week and it took me no longer than 20mins start to finish, and that's with a massive aftermarket cpu cooler. When you go to apply the past you're going to want to spread it evenly and with the case standing you're going to be juggling to many things. Do it the easy way, lay er' down :)
