I am looking to purchase one new SATA HDD from Western Digital [WD Blue/ WD Black]. However, my desktop SATA power connectors use only 5V wire, 12V Wire and ground wires. Upgrading the PSU is not an option for me. So, will WD Blue and WD Black drives work normally and fluently without 3.3V wire [I did check documentation and data sheets of WD Blue and WD Black, but the effort was of no avail]?

Yes, I've used those sata power adapters many many times without issues now.
Back in the day though is another story. LoL
