I have had my Lenovo PC since January of 2014 and I have never encountered any problems until today.
I use the built-in "Realtek RTL8188E Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC" wireless attachment
with my other "D-Link DWA-140 RangeBooster N USB Adapter(rev.B2)" portable WiFi usb adapter.
I use them together at times when one tends to fail (usually when I hard-reset). I've been doing this method for about 5 months and it never affected my PC until today when I was getting some serious speed issues when I connected to ANY website, multiplayer game, and programs.

So this is what has happened so far with my internet:

January, I was using the NETGEAR RangeMax WPN824N Wireless router and than 4 months later My ISP provider sends a Arris Modem (Model# TG862G/CT) that connects to my Cable, Broadband and Telephone use. I plugged in my old wifi router and it worked correctly for about 2 months no problems, but my new modem broadcasts its own wireless signal and I choose not to connect to it.
I still connect to my NETGEAR router but not to my ARRIS modem's wireless connection. I have checked the cables and made sure every is connected accordingly and correctly, but every now and then BOTH wireless connections from my computer to my WiFi router, will timeout and re-connect, which is very annoying.

In my properties I have disabled Ethernet (I don't use it, since I'm a wifi guy, but maybe this is the issue?) and by default both roaming options were set to disabled.

Every now and then I get the error: "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding" but when i use any other device to connect, it is working just fine.

Is there anybody who can help? I know this is a PC problem and I don't really want to refresh.

[Additional and Clear Details: Router is secured with a password, it is not public. Only my PC is having issues connecting. It is entirely based on networking issues and not any other hardware on my PC. I am not an expert on networking.]

I am very surprised you can get 2 wireless cards connected to the same router at the same time. You should get massive errors doing this since you will get 2 different ip on the same network. Even if they would come online which I do not think windows will allow you can really only use 1 at a time. Windows will select one or the other based on his metric, i have no idea which it will decide is better. Now if you are manually moving this back and forth then you can have them both on.

I am going to bet your 2 routers are interfering with each other. Even though you do not use the arris wireless just because it exists it will interference if it is on the same channels. Now days with 40mhz channels on 2.4 it is impossible to run 2...

If you do not want to use the arris wireless I would go in and disable the radios...hopefully it has that option.

Yes, you were right, since my D-Link was just updated from a driver, it interfered with the other causing massive DNS errors. Thanks for warning me since I forgot about that. I just disabled 1 and when one fails, I'll enable the other.
