I am clueless what to do with my new build. The strange thing is that my build will not boot with the GPU plugged in, but does when gpu is unplugged.
I have an asus sabertooth z97 mark 2 mobo, seasonic g650 psu and gigabyte windforce OC R9 280x GPU. What can i do. What can i do to fix this?

More about : wont boot post

Yes. I performed all of these steps correctly. The PC runs fine with just the integrated gpu, but when the external gpu is connected to the psu. the PC wont boot at all.

Did you plug the hdmi cord into the gpu or the mobo?

When i plug the HDMI to the mobo, its boots. When plug the hdmi to gpu, it doesnt boot.

Ok, then given the information I'm inclined to go with the other poster. That it is either the gpu or the psu. Just wanted to suggest a couple things before I jumped to conclusions.

It should be more than fine. Could you list the rest of your specs, though?

It's a miracle! I cleared my CMOS and my system booted. Although I did try to reset my CMOS before, this time I pulled the battery out and waited 4 - 5 minutes before I put the battery back. Fortunately, it worked!
