Might this be a good build for recording Minecraft with light shaders?

Probably. Its very weak.

Try a gtx graphics card so you can use shadowplay (google it).

I know it's more expensive but it has 8GB of RAM (not that you need it for Minecraft, but in the future you may want to play some heavier games), a better GPU, a 1080p monitor, etc

if there is a budget (which i assume is the price of their original build) youve gone over it by quite a bit

you could try to get a ips montior for 20$ more, a fx 6300 would be more stronger and better than a apu. if you cant do any of those try to get some 1866 2x2gb ram apus work better with faster ram and dual channel gives more performance.

The Athlon 760k is not an apu, just a CPU. There are no integrated graphics in the 760k and also for what I will be using the CPU for it is fine for this build.

Yeah, but the FX 6300 isn't exactly a six core, it's kind of a three core with hyperthreading. And the FX 6300 for example is on par with the i3 4150, which is on par with an overclocked G3258, even when recording. And if the OP choses an Nvidia GPU, there's no point in all of this because of Shadowplay.

nvidia gpu would be to expensive and amd has thier own shadowplay. the fx 6300 while true like a 3 core cpu still beats the i3/pentilum in mutli threaded enviorments, while i3 has strong cores the dual core is a limitation which the fx 6300 can overcome.

The reason I'm not using a Nvidia GPU is because a lot of shaderpacks on Minecraft are really buggy with Nvidia cards and are optimized for AMD cards.

The reason that I'm doing 4x1 RAM is because I can add another RAM stick later on if I feel the need to.

What about this?

if your not overclocking then that mobo is good. just add dual channel ram(2x2gb) and i think your done.

The reason that I'm doing 4x1 RAM is because I can add another RAM stick later on if I feel the need to.

actually no mixing ram is bad and can provide bad results/failure.

I will make sure that is is the same RAM, don't worry.

even if its the same ram theres a possibility the sticks dont work together. the reason you buy dual/quad channel ram is because those specific sticks were made to work together. theres no guarentee the same stick of the same brand with the same timings and speed will work together.

however, the closest you can get is having the same, speed, timings, and model type. it can probably work, but dont be suprised if it doesnt

So I've been thinking about going for a GTX 650 instead of the 260 or 260x because I have seen someone on YouTube that has an FX-6300 and a 650 and getting 50-55 FPS in SHADERS while recording using Shadowplay. I think I will go that route and not lose any FPS due to the Shadowplay. But thank you guys for all this help! Highly appreciated ;)
