Motherboard and memory compatibility

I was wondering if anyone could confirm if the Sniper G. Skill memory, G.SKILL F3-1866C10D-16GSR, is compatible with the MSI X58 Pro-E, MS-7522, motherboard? According to MSI, the motherboard supports up to 1600 and the G. Skills memory SPD speed is 1333 but the tested speed on the memory is 1866. Thanks!

if msi themselves say it can work up to 1866 then it will. if it doesnt try to overclock it to 1866 thats what most people do anyways.

dont worry the memory will downclock if it doesnt downclock just downclock it in the bios to 1600mhz.
