Computer crashing randomly

So my friend brought me his laptop that restarted ever 30 mins or so. I booted it into safe mode and waited about and hour and a half to see if it crashes and it didn't. So I booted it regularly and tried running malwarebytes to see if there was a virus and halfway through the scan it crashed. So I tried again while running task manager on the side and saw the CPU was pretty high so I took the HDD and put it in my old laptop which had no problems and turned it on and it crashed still so I'm pretty sure its a virus of some sort what should I do?

then run ccleaner now
now
in
cleaning tab
check all selection in windows and application tab
except the selection of wipe free space in windows tab
press cean now button in the right side
after that go to registery tab and press search for
then press fix all selected
then
download antimalwarebyte from this link

install it and run it then update it if it asked
then perform full scan to whole computer partitions from safe mode
and remove all threats
