I need some help with some RAM issues with my ASUS P8 Z77-V.

Last year I did a custom build based on the ASUS P8Z77-V LX motherboard, and I wasn't having any issues until I upgraded the CPU. The previous build was using:

ASUS P8Z77-V LX
Corsair Builder Series CX600 (600 watt)
Intel Core i3-3225 3.3 Ghz
Corsair Vengance 8 GB RAM (Model: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9)
EVGA GeForce GTX650Ti Boost Superclocked

I upgraded to an Intel Core i5-3570K and after switching the CPU and starting up, the PC went through the RAM check cycle repeatedly and never started up. I also tried using the RAM reset button feature. The RAM was setup in the DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2 positions (the recommended blue slots), just in case. I switched them around until it finally started up normally having in DIMM_B1 and DIMM_B2. I didn't give it much thought since it worked. I was wondering if this is a big deal.

Also now I'm having stability issues with my video card that didn't happen before. When I'm playing a game I sometimes get a black screen for like 2 seconds and then the image is restored, and I get a message saying the video driver crashed and was restored successfully. I read in a forum that these issues may happen because of RAM being installed incorrectly or being incompatible. If anyone could shed some light into my situation, it would be greatly appreciated. It makes my gaming experience annoying, specially during online games.
