Hey!

I have a somewhat new gaming computer that I bought for $1800 (Custom built by TigerDirect.com) about 10-12 months ago(Its off warranty). I bought my computer so I could enjoy flawless gameplay while playing in high settings but I am having some problems!

The main thing I am noticing while in games is that I am getting good frames per second usually 40-90 fps on ultra in most games at all times. What I am starting to notice is that my games have a very slight "Chop" or stutter especially when moving around or moving the camera angle around. Its not terribly obvious but its definitely there and more so in first person shooters than in games like Starcraft II, I have tried lowering game settings to low but it doesn't help. This makes enjoying immersive games like Skyrim/Bf3/bf4/ESO hard because I am always noticing the camera view kind of stutter a bit when I am looking around corners for guys to shoot or running down a street looking for enemy's.

Also, my BF4 won't even play anymore, there's something horribly wrong with it that a fresh install of the game did NOT fix. Many textures refuse to render properly and they all look very blurry, the game has a terrible stutter or choppiness that's so bad the game is unplayable even if the textures were looking normal. I don't know if the problems are related because this is the only game that's unplayable and the problem is so bad in bf4 I don't want to say its related to the problems with my other games.

One problem I have thought of which I need advice on is if my SSD/HDD configuration might be causing the problems with my games that are playable. I only have my windows files stores on my C drive which is the 128 mb SSD and everything else including my games are installed to my 1TB HDD.

Heres my specs:
Windows 7 home premium 64bit
8 GB ram
Intel core i5-4570 @ 3.20
Nvidia GTX 760
Asus 787-pro motherboard
Corsair hx-850 power supply

check that your motherboard bios is up to date to rule out a bios bug. in the bios make sure asus running is standard mode. in performace mode it can change the cpu to ram timing. some system act up if the timing is wrong. in the ai tunner make sure xmp profile is turned on so your ram is set to it max speed. check that you dont have a damaged driver. try reinstalling the newest intell chipset driver...mei driver and video and sound drivers. try reinstalling direct-x see if a file is damaged or over written. in the games also check if your locked into dx9 or dx 11.

How do I check and see if the bios is up to date? Also, when I try and enter the bios while my computer is starting up it wont let me. It says "Please hit F2 or delete to enter the bios settings" I tried tapping f2 and delete probably on 10 different occasions and it still wouldn't let me in, nothing would happen my computer just boots up normally. My keyboard lights are lit up while trying this but it still doesn't work.

I don't know what AI tuner is so I couldn't really follow that step about making sure the ram was being used.

Nor do I understand how to install the newest intel chip driver, is it the same as installing a video card driver? Also could you walk me through the proper process of reinstalling video drivers? Do I just uninstall the drivers then go download them from the NVidia website? Also whats an MEI driver and how do I reinstall that?

Which DirectX should I have? 9 or 11 or both?

Thanks!

BTW, just tried "reinstalling" directx, I didn't uninstall anything because I read you can't uninstall directx because its an integrated part of the OS but I did to install it again or whatever and it said the current version is up to date and no installation is required. And I checked its directx11

Also, what I do when I use this computer is I set up an administrator account and then I create another non administrator account which from there I do all my work/gaming because I heard it is more secure. I also install updates and driver updates from the non administrator account but it always asks me to enter my password for the admin account or it wont let me install anything. Could this be a problem?

on newer intel motherboard they now have ipgpu if it turned on the bios screen will post off the onboard video first. plug the video cable to the onboard video port. go into the bios set the video to peg first then turn off the onboard video. that free up some ram and stuff if the on board video is on.
