hello im planning a cheapo build and trying to save 50$ on a hdd. Will this HDD from a Acer Aspire 5515 work. its about 180gb. heres my build

But you said "will this hard drive by Acer aspire work" yet you did not provide the type of hard drive, and the one listed is made by Seagate.

how do you take out the hdd in a laptop i had to unscrew the top.

Any 3.5" hard drive should work just fine! as the one shown in your list by Seagate.

yeah found out its a western digital blue 320gb so it must have partioned in correctly.
