I have overclocked my AMD FX 4130 to 4.02 Ghz ..

I dont understand why im getting that 0.2ghz more meaning 4.02 Ghz, I only want 4.0 Ghz

Why am i getting this 0.2? I dont understand?

I tried to overclock to 4.5ghz but when i restart my pc wont restart, I have to turn of PC to get it working again.

My temps right now is CPU Temp is 39C MB Temp is 36C

It has to do with the front side bus, its set to auto and the motherboard does something slightly off of 200. set it to 200 manually (FSB) if you dont like it, thought it makes no difference and id leave it alone. its not 4.2, its 4.02, i dont see what you are talking about.

The overall clock speed is the FSB x the Multi = Ghz. So having the FSB set to anything other than 200 exactly will make it slightly off (of a round number, its not 'wrong' per se)

Im new to the forums, I dont know how to edit, I made a mistake, Everyone does?, No need to be rude, Im here for help.

This makes 0 sense. I want to help but you need to realize, if youre going to make post, read it through, preview it, and then post it. Edit the (OP) original post to make sense...either way its probably the front side bus settings on auto, its in the BIOS, did you change it to 200?

This question does make sense, Please can you just leave this post?, Honeslty!

Ha, good luck with your problem. I already gave you the answer twice though.

yeah go into your bios check the overclocking section see if thier is something called auto overclock or things that dont need to be on basically turn off everything except your overclock. To edit just click update this.

I can not see front side bus in my Bios .... I have the Asrock N68-VS3 FX Motherboard.

43 seconds into this video, i think the setting that says CPU frequency is the front side bus setting.

It was set at 200 anyways, I put it at 175?, Ok?, i think if i go over 200 my pc wont boot.

hm, if its at 200 even and the multiplier goes in interval of .5 (10x 10.5x 11x 11.5x so on so forth) it should come to an even number of Ghz. The only other thing i can think of is the windows power management settings in control panel, it can throttle the CPU and result is different weird clock rates. (Control panel/ Power options/ advanced power options/ processor power management)

I need to go back into my Bios, I turned down the CPU frequency and my PC is only at 3.51 GHz xD lol

I was going back and furth into the bios and keeped going up on the CPU where you overclock to get more Ghz and it worked, At 4.02 Ghz it was very stable, My CPU Temp was at 39C, Is that good?, Ill stay here untill you reply, I cant go upto 4.5Ghz?, I dont really understand, Iv seen people go upto 4.5Ghz without any problems.

Yes it was with AMD FX 4130

Will it be my power supply?.

well you need a good cpu cooler like a hyper evo 212 or better to get to that or the temps will get to high. also you need to stress test with prime 95 to see if your overclock is good. you also need a good psu to supply the extra power.

Can you help me with this 4.42 Ghz?, What is with this 2?.

dont sweat it man thats extra performance its nothing to be worried about. the whole point of overclocking is better performance so having a extra .02mhz isnt bad. you probably will have to turn your stock cooler fan to max to get it to 4.4ghz-4.5.

Ahh ok, How do i do that?

go into the bios and see if you can find the stock cooler or something like that turn the fan all the way up and see how well it cools the temp. I wouldnt recommend it though i recommend you just get a hyper evo 212 for a stable and cool overclock. or a better noctua/phanteks or h90/h100 for a better higher overclock.

Iv overclocked my CPU and crappy graphic card and both stable, Iv asked around and showed my temps and they said its fine, Nofin to worry about at all!

thats good then its just it usually recommend to use a aftermarket cooler. alright see if you can up the speed of the cpu cooler fan to the max(or max your ears can take) then try overclocking it and STRESS TESTING. Its super important to stress test to make sure the temps are good and eleticity is enough, etc.

Can you recommand me a aftermarket cooler?, Is that for the back?, I have a spare fan space at the back by the power supply, is that what your talking about?.

I researched it and it costs around £25 - £30, Looks easy to install, You take off the fan onto of the CPU and put the cooler on :)
