How does my gaming build look?

Solution
Will it be only for gaming but no editing?

If so you could save and bring it down to an i5, you wouldn't need hyper threading for gaming just 4 threads will do.

As I see you will be overclocking, maybe I would go with an Asus Maximus Hero VII in my opinion it is the best motherboard for overclocking. And the CPU cooler go with a Corsair H100i instead.

Instead of the WD HDD, try Seagate Barracuda it will save a few dollars.

Yes I did see your PSU and it is a good choice for SLI, however I wouldn't get Corsair. Try other brands like Antec, EVGA, SeaSonic, Thermaltake or XFX.

I would go with an i5 4690k and 8 gigs of ram. i7 and 16gigs of ram are useless. With the extra 170 dollars from the i5 and 8gigs then you could get an r9 290x and possibly a 780 ti if you want to spend a little more money.

I was wondering that, however, I still want to be able to multi-task very well. Although I would mainly use it for gaming, I want to run other programs at the same time, without lag. Also, is 16 GB of ram too much?

16GB of RAM is too much just for gaming and multitasking an 8GB will do fine. But if you want to run more games at the same time, but why? And what games will these be?

Ok, so you think 8GB of ram and the i5 would be enough in my case? Maybe I will pump that money into a 780 ti I guess:) Thanks

Just all the current games. But I think I am set on the 780. Your right. I can always sli later

Then the. 780 will do now for current games. Yes there can always broom for SLI as long as there is a suitable PSU. Maybe a 750W.
