I've never noticed this before yesterday so I can't say if it's always been there. When I'm playing a game on my main monitor which is a 144hz my second monitor which is a 60hz shows an awful lot of refresh. It's bugging the hell out of me because 1. it's distracting and 2. I can't tell if it's an issue with the monitor or something that should and has always been there.

Are you playing the game on both the screens? If you are then the 60Hz screen is trying to keep up with 144Hz screen. If you go on the game option and try to select only 60Hz i am sure you won't see that refresh. Also what are you using on both the screens i mean like are you using VGA for the other screen? What are the system specs?

I'm playing the game fullscreen windowed mode on monitor 1. Monitor 1 is connected via DVI and monitor 2 is connected via VGA to DVI adaptor I believe. Specs are windows 8.1, i5 4670k, EVGA Nvidia GTX 780 ti SC ACX, 16GB Kingston Fury White. I've never NOTICED this refresh issue until now so it's really hard for me to say if it's always been there. Now that I noticed it though it's insanely distracting. I'm curious as to if there might be a way to simply limit the FPS going to only the second monitor?

Oh also my monitors are Asus VG248QE being the 144hz and my 60hz is a "DELL ST2410" I don't really know any info on it other than it came with a desktop I was given close to 10 years ago.

Yea it only happens when there's a game on the main monitor. And I don't really have any other computers in my home. I can potentially try later tonight/tomorrow on a friends laptop though and update you then.

edit: One other question I do have is, if I were to simply get another 60hz monitor do you think I'd still have the same issue even though I never noticed this one before?
