Will i need to uninstall/install some drivers.
My specs:
CPU: i5 4440
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 SLI
GPU: 3072MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 280x Sapphire Vapor-X
My os is Windows 7 64bit
And im also upgrading my ram from 8GB single channel to a 16GB Quad channel.
Will i need some kind of drivers for that too?

Hi

Mostly agree with jossrick

Except there are drivers for CPU's mainly Intel or AMD versions
these are occasionally updated for new CPU's

There have been well known cases where PC manufacturers have put registry setting to load both Intel & AMD cpu driver and only provided driver for correct CPU

Then new Windows service pack is installed the missing CPU driver is installed and Windows crashes while starting up

But this cpu & ram upgrade does not require any driver updates
Only check that the cpu is supported by motherboard & BIOS and any Bios update done before changing cpu
AND
Selected RAM is on supported list for motherboard.
Crucial web site gives good indication what RAM is supported by most motherboards
If second 8GB ram...
I have the exact opposite advice. The CPU is the one part of the computer that is pretty homogeneous. You are using the drivers for the motherboard, and that's what the OS is attached to, changing the motherboard, you want a fresh Windows install, changing just the processor, no worries. Change out the CPU all day long with different ones, as long as the motherboard is the same, no need for a new Windows install. Same thing with RAM, there are no RAM drivers. There's no CPU driver to worry about, so, no need for a new Windows.

If second 8GB ram module identical to first can be obtained it may save some money
